This program focuses on improving muscle fiber recruitment! That is strength coach talk for improving the rate of force development that increases acceleration to reach top speeds faster! We improve your sport-specific speed so you can out sprint your opponents on the field, Ice or court!
We also focus on total body explosive power because in sports, its about more then just acceleration. You need to have total control of your body and be able to out muscle and out perform your opponent! We improve vertical jump, broad jump, 40 and 60 times as well as improve Velocity Based Training (VBT) numbers and metrics!
By using a VBT Unit, each athlete gets real time feed back after each rep and is able to adjust accordingly to maximize their results! Our use of VBT is what sets us apart from other facilities and its why our athletes see such big improvements in speed and power! VBT is used in most college and Pro settings but from our work at the University of Pittsburgh, we learned how essential it is to the success or speed and power training, so we brought it to DSP!
