The Staff

Michael Durkin, B.S., CSCS, SSC, CPT, TPI - Owner / Strength and Conditioning Coach 

After working at the University of Pittsburgh, Robert Morris University, and working as the Head Strength and Conditioning coach at Overtime Hockey for 3 years, Michael broke away to open the doors of Durkin Sports Performance in July of 2017. 

Michael Graduated form Indiana University Of Pennsylvania with a Degree in Exercise Science. Since then He has obtained his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) through the NSCA which is the golden stander in the world of strength and conditioning. He also has gotten a SSC (specialist in Strength and Conditioning) and his CPT (certified Personal Trainer) certifications through the ISSA as well has his TPI (Titlist Performance Institute) certification for golf performance. 

Currently, Michael also works as the head strength and conditioning coach of Moon Area Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, and Volleyball!

Josh Bogats B.S., CSCS - Strength and Conditioning Coach

Josh graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fitness Management with a focus in Strength and Conditioning. Before graduating, Josh interned at the Recreation Center on campus. While interning, he worked under the head Fitness Director and also worked as a personal trainer for students and those in the community. 

After graduating, Josh obtained his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification. In the spring of 2019, Josh began his work at Durkin Sports Performance. Josh has also worked as a Sport Performance coach for Triple Crown Training and currently works as a strength coach for Moon baseball, Moon basketball and Moon lacrosse.    

Corey Miller B.S., CSCS- Strength and Conditioning Coach 

Corey graduated from Chatham University with a degree in exercise science and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Chatham. During undergrad Corey was a member of the Chatham University baseball team. Upon graduation, Corey completed the CSCS certification. Corey got his start in strength conditioning in his home state of Virginia, working 1 on 1 with high school through NCAA Division 1 athletes across a wide range of sports. While enrolled in Chatham’s DPT program he currently serves as the strength & conditioning coach for Chatham University’s baseball team.
